Journey of the flower
From Farm to Celebration
“WOW! How do you grow all these flowers?”
This is a question our team is frequently asked when guests see our work in person on an event day. We usually smile and explain that while we do maintain a garden, it would be impossible to grow every flower used in our designs. As we are specialists in luxury event production. Artisan Bloom produces a high volume of events throughout every season, which requires access to a wide variety of blooms year-round. To ensure the highest quality and selection for our clients, we thoughtfully source flowers from trusted growers and suppliers in addition to incorporating elements from our own garden.
We work closely with trusted wholesalers and specialty suppliers to source exceptional blooms from around the world, allowing us to create designs that feel layered, seasonal, and highly individualized for each event.
So where do the flowers come from?
Cut flower production is a global industry, with blooms cultivated across a wide range of climates and regions before being carefully transported to floral studios around the world. In the United States, many premium floral varieties are sourced from countries including Colombia, Ecuador, Kenya, and the Netherlands, alongside domestic growers throughout California and other agricultural regions.
We also prioritize sourcing locally whenever possible. Utah is home to a number of exceptional flower farmers who work creatively within the challenges of the desert climate to produce unique, seasonal blooms that we are proud to incorporate into our designs.
Why we source flowers
Artisan Bloom is constantly balancing artistry with logistics. Each bloom is selected not only for its beauty, but also for timing, availability, and how well it will perform on an event day. Flowers are grown in different climates around the world, harvested at peak freshness, and then carefully transported through a chain of growers, importers, and wholesalers before ever reaching our design studio. This system allows our team to work with an incredibly wide palette of textures and colors year-round, while still being mindful of seasonality, sustainability, and the specific vision behind each event. While guests often only see the finished product, every installation represents a complex journey of global sourcing, careful handling, and detailed craftsmanship working together behind the scenes.
XOXO,
Artisan Bloom
